Rebootizer Events to Round Out March

Wow! I had a busy last couple of days of March with Rebootizer, participating at a couple of events and connecting with consumers who want to “Feel Better Today, Live Better Tomorrow”.

March 29th marked the launch of the Yoga Rave US tour, with a stop at legendary NYC nightclub, Pacha. Yogis of all different skill levels gathered in this vibrant, drug-free environment for an evening filled with meditation, music from the So What Project! and plenty of shared energy to go around. Over 1400 people filled the nightclub and we were happy to be among sponsors of the event, hosted by the Art of Living.

Then it was back up to Connecticut for me where I participated at the West Hartford Health and Wellness Fair on March 31, presented by MyFitStyle and hosted at the New York Sports Club – West Hartford location.  We caught up with workout enthusiasts between the assortment of specialty-scheduled classes, consultations and – dare I mention it – massages to talk free radicals, oxidative stress and how Rebootizer can become part of your workout regimen to recover more quickly after strenuous exercise.

Here are some fabulous photos from both events, take a look:

Now we’re looking ahead to a busy April and Rebootizer will again be out on the town at an event near you. Our next scheduled event is the Hollywood Half Marathon on Saturday, April 7. Over 7500 participants will “Run With the Stars” through the streets of LA and members of Team Rebootizer, Sarah and Spencer, will anxiously be awaiting athletes at the half marathon finish line. Let us know if you will be running and we’ll look forward to greeting you at the finish!

No Luck To Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day – It’s All Science!

Photo via Flickr Creative Commons - By Brother O'Mara

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! If you’re anything like me, you try to curb the weeknight drinking and save those few beers for a celebration with friends. And St. Patrick’s Day is indeed one of those occasions! St. Patrick’s Day is one of the top drinking holidays in the world, from Car Bombs to green beers and everything in between.

But all of these alcohol indulgences come with a heavy price tag – excess free radicals that our cells cannot destroy on their own. Alcohol is among the peak causes of Oxidative Stress, causing such unfavorable “morning after” feelings, including headache, fatigue, cotton mouth, queasy stomach and an overall weakened immune system.

The Tartan Online helps to explain that the hangover is really a result of science. With the knowledge in your back pocket of drinking habits and tactics to wake up the next morning without unbearable symptoms – “not consuming alcohol on an empty stomach, staying hydrated, taking multivitamins, and getting enough rest…” -

Rebootizer is your ally in helping to mitigate the symptoms associated with excess drinking by offering your body the antioxidant-packed nutrients your body craves. While Rebootizer won’t eliminate alcohol from your body completely, the wellness enhancer will help to feel Irish today and wake up your natural and active self tomorrow.

Slainte!

Exposing the Truth behind Skin Care and Premature Aging

We recently discussed some great ways to keep our skin looking its best, but its quite important to note just how damaging the results can be if we let up on our healthy skin care maintenance. With spring vacations among us, people are flocking to warm weather destinations to soak up the sun.

Sunlight certainly is critical to our overall health and happiness for a couple of reasons: it creates Vitamin D which we absorb through our skin and sunlight also triggers hormones in our brain that create a euphoric feeling. However, over exposure to both the sun and to environmental pollutants is among the peak causes of Oxidative Stress.

Oxidative Stress is the result of excess free radicals in the body. In the skin, when the number of free radicals becomes too much for the body to control on its own, free radicals “stimulate the breakdown of collagen and elastin resulting in increased wrinkle production, blotchy skin, pigmentation, and changes in the skin’s tone and texture.”

Here are some tips to help minimize the risks of sun exposure:

  1. Wear sunscreen, especially if you will be out in the sun at its highest midday peak. That’s when the ultraviolet (UV) rays are their strongest.
  2. Eat foods naturally rich in Vitamin D, such as eggs, tuna fish and sockeye salmon
  3. Offer your skin plenty of nutrients! Antioxidants help protect against DNA damage from radiation and resulting Oxidative Stress. Antioxidants can be taken in their natural form, from blueberries to green tea, or offered from Rebootizer, a blend of seven naturally powerful antioxidant rich fruit and plant extracts. With Rebootizer, you will be achieving maximum potency when feeding your body much needed antioxidant nutrients, as the powder does not combine wiht water until you’re ready to drink – offering the highest degree of bio-availability.

With these tips in hand, go out there and have some (safe) fun in the sun during this spring vacation!
