How to Celebrate Post-Mardi Gras

More and more restaurants and bars are embracing celebrations at the end of February to usher in the Brazilian “Carnivale” or New Orleans’ “Mardi Gras” vibe. With these celebrations come a slew of food and alcohol indulgences, ranging from tasting menus (Creole-inspired cuisine and King Cake) to specialty cocktails (Hurricane, Sazerac and Vieux Carre).

But in thinking about all of these decadent offerings – I mean, who wouldn’t want a slice of this? – enjoyed over the course of one evening, our bodies are prone to creating excess free radicals. This temporary oxidative stress generated by ‘junk food’ and alcohol has harmful short-term effects. The morning after price of this imbalance can include an upset stomach,  headache, fatigue, cotton mouth and a generally weakened immune system.

However, by drinking at bedtime, Rebootizer can support your body to fight oxidative stress by helping to clear away those nasty free radicals accumulated through food and drink excesses, before they become harmful. It’s just one of the many added benefits of Rebootizer, in addition to the long-term wellness and anti-aging benefits it provides.

So don’t skimp out on your Mardi Gras celebrations – make sure to take a Rebootizer at the end of the evening of excesses. Packed with powerful antioxidants and digestive properties to help you recover faster, Rebootizer is your new and convenient solution to Feel Better Today, Live Better Tomorrow.

On Valentine’s Day, Love Yourself!

Photo courtesty of Flickr Creative Commons (Chocolate Reviews)

Ah, Valentine’s Day. A day to show your affection for the ones you love in the form of teddy bears, flowers and a special bottle of wine. Chocolate is another staple product associated with Valentine’s Day, however, it’s benefits reach far beyond romance.

Dry and unsweetened cocoa powder possess a lot of health benefits not found in other sweets. What is really important to note is that cocoa powder is a potent antioxidant that lands high up on the list of antioxidant foods by their ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity) value. Just as with ingesting your Rebootizer, the benefit of eating high-ORAC valued plants and foods is to combat destructive free radicals which, when left unattended in your body, can lead to many serious and degenerative ailments.

So grab you cocoa fix from a moderate-sized piece of dark chocolate, no more than 100 grams (I say moderate because dark chocolate can still be a foe if you closely count your calories). Dark chocolate can also offer other an array of health benefits such as lowering your blood pressure and raising serotonin and mood levels in your brain. Low blood pressure and high serotonin — together, these lead to de-stress and relaxation, which we can always use more of!

So while it’s important to show your love for others on this Valentine’s Day, make sure to first and foremost love yourself! Coupled with a regimen of Rebootizer to offer more antioxidants and assist in metabolic efficiency, dark chocolate may now be another healthy food to help you live better today and feel better tomorrow.

The Super Bowl Goes To The Dogs

Let’s talk about the Super Bowl. And what I really mean by that is let’s talk about the Super Bowl commercials!  The Nielsen wire declared that  111.3 million of us watched the big game this past Sunday, although many consumers weren’t watching to see the Giants or Patriots score – they were watching solely for the commercials. Another survey, USA Today’s AdMeter also says that this is what was deemed the favorite commercial of the year, as voted on by viewers. Watch the clip below:

Doritos: Man’s Best Friend Doritos: Man’s Best Friend

While that commercial is fine and dandy it is by no means the one we want to draw attention to today. Our favorite, hands down, has to be the ever adorable Volkswagen Beetle commercial, “The Dog Strikes Back”.

But we like this commercial for more than the pumped up soundtrack and the kitschy Darth Vader reference at the end. We enjoy it, rather, for the message the commercial’s star, this once-out-of-shape dog, preaches – with hard work, determination, and a steadfast regimen, you can lose the weight and achieve the leaner, healthier body you’ve always desired. Way to go, Bolt the Dog!

REBOOTizer can assist in that regimen, too. By following a consecutive 6-day regimen or simply REBOOTing after one of those strenuous workouts (you know the one — where you too are dragging the dumbbells back across the floor when you’ve wrapped up a workout, like the dog in the commercial) you can help your body recover faster, eliminate excess free radicals and assist in metabolic efficiency. All in all, you’re prepping yourself to a lead a longer, healthier life and meet those once out-of-reach goals, like chasing a VW Beetle down the block. You can do it – let REBOOT help.

Already looking forward to next year’s big game!

Best Practices to Protect Your Skin

Your body’s largest organ – your skin – takes quite a beating! On a daily basis, your skin is exposed to a wide range of harmful toxins and environmental hazards, ranging from sun exposure (UV light) and environmental pollution, such as smog, to harsh chemicals  found in everyday cleansers, like lotions and soaps.

All of this exposure leads to the creation of free radicals in the body; too many free radicals and you develop what is better known as oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is one of the leading factors of premature aging and your skin is one of the first places this aging will noticeably take effect.

Without a doubt, it is pertinent to take care of our skin, from a health, wellness and beauty perspective. But how does one combat these premature signs of aging? Here are some great tips to learn how to get healthy skin:

Avoid overexposure to UV rays –

Simply put, Ultraviolet (UV) rays create free radicals which damage our cells and lead to wrinkling skin and premature aging. Sunscreen is a great first step to protect your skin when you anticipate being out and exposed to UV rays for extended periods of time.

Look at the chemical names on household cleansers –

The Well Daily says it cut and dry: even in small doses, your body absorbs over 60% of the chemicals you put on it. Whoa! It’s all about making yourself knowledgeable about the products you are buying. Feed you skin healthy and natural chemicals instead and avoid those utterly unpronounceable names that The Well list in their newsletter post, linked at the beginning of this paragraph.

Love those Liquids –

Working from the inside out, this trick is well worth repeating over and over again. Get plenty of fluids in your system, mainly water. Your body’s largest, most protective organ will thank you for it.

Ante Up with Antioxidants –

Certainly among the best ways to save your skin, powerful and all natural antixoidants have anti-aging properties that help to eliminate excessive free radicals in the body. REBOOTizer works to combat destructive oxidative stress, removing free radicals quickly through a blend of seven organically powerful antioxidant plant and fruit extracts which includes dandelion root extract, licorice root extract, Angelica root extract, artichoke root extract, lemon balm leaf extract, lemon extract and Acerola extract. When incorporated into a regimen, REBOOTizer can promote long term general wellness, improve your overall skin tone and help you to “feel better today, live better tomorrow”.

Celebrating Equinox Darien 7th Year Anniversary

We were so fortunate to join Equinox Darien (Connecticut) in ushering in their 7th Year Anniversary late last week. The celebratory event was jam packed with great vendors like REBOOTizer, complimentary spa treatments, personal training and Pilates demos, special Group Fitness classes, a live DJ and an assortment of food and beverages provided by local CT restaurants.

REBOOTizer ambassador Spencer, who was on site all day at the Darien fitness center, said that REBOOTizer was wildly popular among trainers and gym rats alike for its convenient packaging features and potent, all-natural combination of fruit and plant extracts. “People ate it up! Or drank it up, technically,” he said.

Here are some photos from the fun-filled afternoon where we introduced REBOOTizer to enthusiastic fitness and training fans. Take a look and then visit our Facebook fan page to see more photos.

Stay tuned for more event information to find our ambassadors in your area!
